  Training in the Machine Shop prepares the student for entry level into the Metal Working industry. Instruction is offered on basic machine tools such as Lathes, Milling machines and Grinders, as well as on the most up to date machines such as CMM,(Coordinate Measuring Machine),CNC,(Computer Numerical Control) Turning Center, EDM,(Electrical Discharge Machines) Wire and EDM Die Sinker. Related training includes Blueprint Reading, Mathematics, Precision Inspection, Layout, Welding,(Gas, Arc, Tig, and Mig,) and Plasma and Flame cutting. Depending on levels of the student and job placement, training can concentrate in any of these areas.

Levels of Training :

Machine Shop Tender Certificate - 324 hours
(3 months)

Machine Set-up Operator Certificate 648 hours
(6 months)

Maintenance Machinist Diploma 1296 hours
(12 months)

Machinist 1 Diploma 1944 hours
(18 months)
