GED Information

Tennessee Technology Center at Whiteville is an official GED Testing Center.  We are currently testing once a month during the day with testing spread out over two days.  On the first day examinees take two tests, Math and Language Arts/Writing. On the second day examinees take three tests, Science, Social Studies and Language Arts/Reading.  Testing may be scheduled on nights and Saturdays as the need arises.

You must pre-register for the GED prior to the testing date.  Testing dates are announced monthly.  Registration will continue until all spaces are filled.  There are limited spaces available for each test session and spaces are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Registration will be complete when the testing fee has been paid and all necessary documentation completed.  Please allow a minimum of 30 minutes to complete the registration process.

The testing fee is $55 and must be paid with cash or money order. Re-tests are $11 per test.

Anyone taking the GED test is required to take the Official GED practice Test .

What you will need to register:

If you are 17 years of age

  • Picture ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
  • Age Waiver from Board of Education
  • Proof of GED official practice Test
  • $55 in cash or money order

If you are 18 years of age or older

  • Picture ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
  • Proof of GED official practice Test
  • $55 in cash or money order
