Automotive Technology 

The Automotive Technology program includes nine (9) skill areas—each represented by a major Instructional Unit. Upon the successful completion of each Instructional Unit, students will receive TTCW/Board of Regents certificate. There are several exit points for students who do not wish to complete the entire program. Completion of the entire program for the Automotive Mechanic Technician diploma will require approximately 20 months. Completion of the Automotive Technician Apprentice diploma can be completed in approximately 12 month after successfully completing six instructional training units.

Business Systems Technology

The Business Systems Technology Program emphasizes performance-based competencies in both interpersonal and technological skills. BST students gain knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to become successful employees in today’s fast-paced, global workplace.

Computer Information Technology  

The mission of the Computer Information Technology Program is to prepare and develop students so they can acquire and retain employment in the high-tech Computer Networking Technology field upon graduation through traditional and distance education. Hands-on, real world experience within an individualized objective-based program with personal instruction prepare each student to pass the A+, N+, S+ and Microsoft Certifications. This course is designed to provide instruction in the basics of computer use, maintenance, repair, and networking in the business world.

Electronics Technology

The Electronics Technology program consists of basic core level training in troubleshooting basic AC, DC, Analog and Digital Circuits.

 HVAC/R Technology 

Students are trained to replace defective components on refrigeration units to work order and blueprint specification. Students also observe the functioning of components such as controls, fan, condenser, evaporator, or compressor to determine need for repair or replacement. Installation, service, and repair or domestic appliances is also taught.

Industrial Maintenance Technology 

The Industrial Maintenance Technician program is designed to help meet the identified need for trained and skilled maintenance technicians. Incorporating classroom instruction and shop learning experience utilizing actual equipment and/or related training devices, the IMT program is designed in its entirely for the technology student who is preparing for a career in industry.

Machine Tool Technology

Training in the Machine Shop prepares the student for entry level into the Metal Working industry. Instruction is offered on basic machine tools such as Lathes, Milling machines and Grinders, as well as on the most up to date machines such as CMM,(Coordinate Measuring Machine),CNC,(Computer Numerical Control) Turning Center, EDM,(Electrical Discharge Machines) Wire and EDM Die Sinker. Related training includes Blueprint Reading, Mathematics, Precision Inspection, Layout, Welding,(Gas, Arc, Tig, and Mig,) and Plasma and Flame cutting. Depending on levels of the student and job placement, training can concentrate in any of these areas.

Practical Nursing

Practical Nursing is a twelve-month program leading to a diploma in practical nursing and qualifying graduates to take the State Board of Nursing Exam to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. The Practical Nursing Program consists of 808 hours of classroom theory and 488 hours of hands-on clinical training.

Residential Electrical Technology 

The Residential Electrician Technology program is a twelve-month program intended to prepare students to pass the National Electrical Code (NEC) exam to obtain their Limited License Electrician (LLE) certification.

Welding Technology

The Welding program at the Tennessee Technology Center at Whiteville is a first class program that is second to none. The instructor is a Certified Welding Inspector with the American Welding Society as well as a Certified Welding Educator with almost 40 years of experience. The equipment is new, modern, and up to date. Students spend time in the classroom where they learn the fundamentals of welding, the equipment used, the different types of metals to be welded, the different welding processes, with a large emphasis on blueprint reading.
