It is impossible to create the summation of any life with mere words. Words that, which in the hands of the most affluent writers cannot begin to compare with even a few brief moments of action; I am no such writer. When given the task of paying tribute, that I owe, to one that I love and an attempt to share my knowledge of a life worth sharing, there are my attempts at justice to the character of such a life.
To Willie B. McFerren Jr.
To a man who was respected by all for his respect to all. For a passion to succeed with excellence, a pride to fight until the fight is done, humility mistaken for shyness, loyalty and care to share the things he had, and the honesty to never run from his own mistakes. Willie will be forever missed by those who knew him. He is an encouragement to me to this day for everything he showed me. What a privilege to have known such an example.
A great man once said, "What we do in life echoes in eternity." Listen to the echo.
