TENNESSEE TECHNOLOGY CENTER AT WHITEVILLE
WILLIE “BB” McFERREN SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES
Eligibility: Any Fayette-Ware High School Senior who:
1. Plans on continuing their education at the Tennessee Technology Center at Whiteville.
2. Has a minimum high school average of “B” or the equivalent.
3. Plans on enrolling full-time in ELECTRONICS TECHNOLOGY by the beginning of the Fall Term.
Deadline: All applications must be submitted on or before April 15.
Notification: Scholarship recipient will be officially notified on or before May 5 of the awarding year.
Award: The Tennessee Technology Center at Whiteville will award a single scholarship for one-year. The scholarship will cover the cost of tuition for one year.
Selection Process: Recipients are selected on the basis of past educational performance, participation in school and community activities, career commitment, prior vocational-technical training, and the recommendation letters from a counselor, advisor, vocational instructor or employer.
Obligation of Recipient: Scholarship recipients must remain committed to their educational for at least one year. Each Term the recipient must not miss more than 18 hours and must maintain a “B” grade average. If these obligations are not met, the scholarship will not be awarded the following term. If the recipient maintains satisfactory attendance and progress the following term, the scholarship will be awarded the next term, for a maximum of three terms.
Complete Applications will include: (1) Complete application (2) Two letters of reference (3) An up-to-date copy of their high school transcript .
